I was looking for an apartment in a building on Central Park West. It was 1985. The person wasn’t home. Suddenly a door opens up at the end of the hallway. A man came out wanting to know who’s “making all the racket” ? It was Ted Brown, former DJ on WNEW am! “Why don’t you come on in and say hello”, he said. He couldn’t have been nicer. I recognized him right away when he opened the door and started speaking. His voice was so familiar to me having been a an
listener to 1950s and 1960s WNEW radio in my household growing up. He was a hell of a nice guy.
