  1. Andy and I always email each other on “WNEW Day.” I try to time it so my email goes through at exactly 11:30,- which was the time for William B’s “Morning Report From the Chairman of the Board.” I grew up listening to ‘NEW in the ’60s and ’70s. Not only the classic music, but the clear and concise use of language to deliver the news, present opinions, entertain and enlighten, gave me a tremendous education. I still remember hilarious bits from Klavan and William B. and Julie and Ted Brown, and all the rest of them. All the folks who worked at ‘NEW had a profound influence on my life. I’m forever grateful to all of them! And I’m very thankful for this website, keeping alive the memory of the greatest radio station ever! “WNEW: Where the Melody Lingers On!”

  2. Thank you both! I’ve been waiting for this because I knew Andy would never forget that one day out of 365 that’s dedicated to that once great broadcast operation, WNEW11-3-0 in New York!!
